Board & Train Dog Training in Dallas, TX
Your dog comes to me. They go home a different dog. Some dogs need more than a weekly lesson to get where they need to be. Board and train is full-immersion training — your dog lives with me, works with me every single day, and builds real skills in a real environment. If you've been struggling and nothing has stuck, this is where that changes.
What is Board & Train?

More than a training program — it's total immersion
In a regular lesson, your dog gets an hour of focused training a week. That's it. Board and train is something different entirely. Your dog lives with me — in my home, not a commercial kennel — and every walk, every meal, every interaction becomes part of the training. That kind of consistency is what produces results that actually hold.
You'll get regular photo and video updates throughout, so you're never left wondering how it's going. And before your dog comes home, we work together — you and your dog — so the skills transfer and stick.
Board and train works best when the situation calls for it
After completing this program, here's real results look:
Starting from scratch — or starting over
Whether your dog never got a solid foundation or has picked up habits you'd rather undo, board and train gives them a complete reset. Sit, stay, come, heel, place — built from the ground up and practiced in real environments until they're reliable, not just occasional.
When every walk feels like a battle
Reactivity is one of the most exhausting things to live with. The lunging, the barking, the white-knuckling every time another dog appears — it wears on you. Reactive dogs need time, consistency, and the right kind of repetition to rewire those responses, and board and train gives them exactly that. We work through it in a controlled environment first, then take it out into the world where it actually matters.
Your dog has serious work to do
Service dog training is a significant commitment — it takes precision, patience, and a lot of hours. For many handlers, board and train is the most practical and effective path forward. Your dog works with me daily, building the focus, reliability, and task work that real service dog duties require.

Dogs Don't Maintain Skills On Their Own
No matter what happens during their board and train or how much progress they make... your dog's training is only as permanent as you make it.
Clients who got the best long-term results also do the work at home. This is NOT a magic bullet, because that does not exist — and if a dog trainer promises results you better ask for more details.
But if you're ready to step up and be the owner your dog needs, let's get started.
How a Board & Train Works With Cowboy & Co
Step 1 — Free Consultation
I'll meet your dog, listen to what you're dealing with, and give you an honest assessment — including whether board and train is actually the right fit. There's no obligation and no hard sell.
Step 2 — Drop-Off
Your dog moves in. I'll walk you through the program, set expectations on both sides, and make sure your dog has everything they need to hit the ground running.
Step 3 — Daily Training
From here, your dog works with me every day — structured sessions plus real-life practice woven throughout the day. You'll hear from me regularly with updates, videos, and photos so you can watch the progress happen.
Step 4 — Transfer Sessions
Before your dog comes home, we work together so you can carry the training forward. This part is critical. A trained dog is only as good as the owner who can maintain it — and I make sure you walk away confident.
Before you book a board & train consultation
Board and train produces real results, and I stand behind every program I run. But I am also honest with you: your dog isn't coming home on autopilot. The work we do together creates the foundation — you have to build on it.
That's why transfer sessions are part of every program, and why most of my programs include lifetime support. If something comes up after your dog is home, I'm still a call, text, or email away. That's not a sales line — it's just how I operate.
"Thank you to Luke! From the consultation, to the board and train, and then the 2 follow up sessions, he's fantastic at actually helping you bond with your dog and teaching your dog to respect you.
I'll definitely continue using Luke. Highly recommend him!"

Common Board & Train Questions
How long does board and train take?
It depends on your dog and what we're working toward. Obedience programs typically run 2–4 weeks. Reactivity work can take a bit longer. Service dog training is an extended commitment — sometimes several months. I will lay it out clearly in your consultation so there are no surprises.
Can I visit my dog during board and train?
Yes, and you'll also get regular photo and video updates throughout the program so you're never left in the dark between visits.
Where does my dog stay?
With me, in my home. Not a commercial kennel, not a facility — my home, where the environment is calm and consistent. That matters more than most people realize. Dogs also get controlled exposure to the world at various parks and stores.
What training methods do you use?
Balanced training with a strong positive reinforcement foundation. Your dog learns what yes and no mean, and they get clear, consistent communication they can actually act on.
What happens after board and train ends?
We do transfer sessions before your dog comes home, and all of my programs include options for lifetime support after that. I also run ongoing group classes for dogs who've trained with me privately — so there's always a way to keep the momentum going.
Do you serve my area?
